What is Abcite® coating?
When standard corrosion protection is no longer enough, there is Abcite®. Abcite® coating is the ultimate protection against any deterioration. This thermoplastic coating pushes all the boundaries of traditional corrosion prevention.
A single coat of Abcite® coating is enough to exceed the most stringent corrosion standards. This immediately explains the notable interest from the water treatment, maritime and offshore sectors.
Benefits of Abcite® coating
- No primer required.
- Contains no solvents, bisphenols, halogens, PVC, phthalates or hardeners.
- Permanently impermeable (even with permanent immersion) and minimal friction (smooth water passage in coated pipelines).
- For Abcite 1060 and X60 drinking water contact is permitted.
- Highly abrasion and impact resistant, good electrical insulating properties, UV and chemical resistant.
- Good adhesion and edge coverage without primer.
- Already after a single working pass, with layer thicknesses from 400 microns, the highest standard for resistance to corrosion, salt spray and UV is achieved (category C5-M and IM3, according to
ISO 123944-6
and
ISO 20340
). - Once cooled, the coated object is immediately ready for use after the application process.
- Finish available in different colors.
Applications of Abcite® coating
Because of its exceptional corrosion prevention, Abcite® coatings are particularly suitable for marine, drinking water facilities and offshore use. There are, of course, countless other applications where the technical advantages add interesting value:
- Maritime sector: rudder blades, ship components, offshore and port equipment, fittings, underwater structures, piping, …

Other services
Plastify
To protect metal surfaces, we apply plastic coatings such as Abcite®, Rilsan® and Resicoat®. We do this with various plastification techniques such as vertebral sintering or hot spraying.
Fluorinated coatings
Duracoat has a wide range of options in surface treatment techniques and therefore also in printing. As a final finish, we can also print or print on your coated products or painted parts. V coat provides a total solution through various in-house printing techniques.
Powder coating
Powder coatings are environmentally friendly and stand for scratch-resistant results. Powder coating applies to all kinds of ferrous metals. V coat does it all with a structural focus on quality.
Pretreatment
